What is Cancer ?
Cancer is a group of diseases where there is an abnormal growth of any one type of cell which can remain at one place or spread to other parts of the body. This abnormal growth is called tumour. There are certain types of tumour which do not spread from one part of the body to other , they are generally benign tumours . The other type which spreads from one part of the body to another is called cancerous tumour. There are over 100 different types of cancer.
Cancer cells behave differently from normal cells . Normal cells divide when required and die when not needed but cancer cells loose their control and divide continuously forming tumour. Cancer cells are immortal.
