IMPORTANT POINTS

  • Since it is very essential that we maintain the dose intensity as well as dose density ( (ie) the frequency of administration of drug) , patients condition has to be maintained so that she can continue with chemotherapy as planned. In case the patient develops any infection chemotherapy schedule gets delayed and it should be avoided.
  • Avoid crowds & meeting too many people as they could give you an infection. In case of even mild fever or bleeding, report to your doctor immediately.
  • Do not take aspirin or aspirin-containing drugs.
  • Ask the doctor the date for the next cycle of chemotherapy and come on the correct day. Completing the treatment is a must. A blood test is done a day or two prior to chemotherapy.
  • Report immediately any pain or burning sensation when Chemotherapy drugs are being administered.
